We’re so glad you’ve chosen Billingsley Chiropractic Center. We know visiting a new doctor for the first time can feel uncertain, so our goal is to make your experience relaxed, comfortable, and easy to understand every step of the way.
Here’s what you can expect during your first visit:
Step 1: Welcome & Paperwork
Our front desk team will greet you with a smile and help you complete any necessary intake forms if you haven’t already done so online. If you’ve filled out the forms in advance, we’ll simply review them with you.
Step 2: Consultation
You’ll meet with one of our doctors to discuss your health history, current concerns, and goals for care.
This is your time to share what’s been bothering you and what kind of results you’re hoping for.
Step 3: Examination
We’ll perform a thorough chiropractic evaluation, including neurological assessments and posture checks. This helps us understand how your nervous system is functioning and where imbalances may be occurring.
Note: If you're pregnant or bringing in a child, our evaluation is tailored to your stage of life and comfort.
Step 4: X-Rays (If Needed)
If we need a clearer picture of your spine or underlying structure, we may recommend taking digital Xrays on-site. We do not take X-rays on pregnant patients and only take them when clinically necessary.
Step 5: Treatment
Patients will generally be provided with their first treatment at the conclusion of their second appointment. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapies, and/or soft tissue therapies. Dr. Billingsley and Dr. Pavnica prefer to use a tonal model of practice focused on the nervous system. The skeletal and muscular systems, while vital to the science of chiropractic, are subordinate to the nervous system. A nerve-centric approach is the best way to diagnose and treat the root causes of a health issue.
Step 6: Scheduling Your Report of Findings
Once all the information and examinations have been performed, Dr. Billingsley or Dr. Pavnica will give you a report of findings on Day 3 to answer the three most popular questions:
1. Can you help me?
2. What do you recommend that I do to get better?
3. How much is it going to cost?
After discussing with you your history and your goals, examining your spine and reviewing any x-rays or
tests, Dr. Billingsley or Dr. Pavnica will discuss recommendations with you. If you have a condition that
requires care with other providers, the doctor will tell you. If Dr. Billingsley or Dr. Pavnica believes we can
help you, we will recommend treatment and a wellness program.
